How do I book an
author or illustrator?
First, choose who you would like to have visit your school
or conference site. The profiles offer detailed information
about the authors/illustrators and their books. Second, read

Visit. Then contact Alphabet Books using the Author/Illustrator
Request form, and we'll start the process.
What happens once
I contact you about booking an author or illustrator?
As soon as we receive your request, we will contact the author/illustrator.
Once we hear back from him or her, we will contact you with
more details about availability. Please realize that the authors
and illustrators may take several weeks to respond, due to
their extremely busy schedules.
After you and the author/illustrator agree
through Alphabet Books on date, time, and costs of the presentation,
we will confirm the details in writing, with copies to both
you and the author/illustrator. At that point, you and the
author/illustrator must finalize any further details, including
special arrangements and travel plans.
I'd like to book

All authors and illustrators have grueling schedules filled
with writing or illustrating books and visiting sites nationwide
and even overseas. They are often booked months or even years
ahead of an event. But they love to get children excited about
their books, and they are happy to be as flexible as they
can in accommodating your situation. Remember: planning ahead
is essential.
